View Full Version : 15kHz MAF patch?

I remember seeing a thread somewhere that when you moved to a 02 OS you could get a 15kHz maf table instead of 12kHz that all the gen 3 stuff has. Is this a patch or cax update or something? Thanks for any help.

Thanks Joe. I searched a bit and see people talk about it, but wasn't sure if it was a GEN 3 thing or you had to have a newer corvette ECM or something.

E40 being like the c6 better stuff? I did more digging and came up with the same. Wish we could go to 15khz on the Gen 3 stuff since the maf can handle it.

E40 was used on Corvette and GTO from 2005 and 2006, or so.

MAF may be able to handle 15KHz, but Gen 3 has 512 g/s airflow limitation (if you exceed that you have to play games with scaling).

That's what I'm doing right now on my new car...
Did it on the old car too. Very straightforward and the car is making around 700fwhp through a stock maf and drives and idles phenominally.

Did you do MAF/VE/IFR scaling, or did you do MAF/VE/B3601...?

I'm on my phone so can't recall what B3601 is. Basically, I followed Greg banish's videos and a couple of pm's. ANY table with g/cyl gets scaled. The interesting thing is that after doing that I noticed a few tables needed to be put back to what they were, including idle tables, in order for the car to run right. The car has a D1SC blower, a Futral F13 cam, and a Yank 3600 stall and I would put it's idle up against anyones. My wife can hop in and take it to the grocery store no issues.

Ok, you did MAF/VE/IFR scaling (which includes shifting any tables with g or g/s on axis). Ok, good point, idle air tables model the throttle body.

Good job, car should run with good manners across the operating range (and haul butt at the strip) :cheers:

I have yet to go to the strip,but it's an animal on the street. I don't understand why people are so quick to knock the maf and don't scale and go speed density. Have you ever tried scaling?

I haven't see any problems with scaling as long as the various g/cyl tables are shifted by the right amount.

I've scaled, but I think I missed a few tables... but it ran ok.
