Hey guys, I just got my car back together. 2006 Z06. The heads are ported Trickflow 260s, cam specs 240/254 on a 114 +3, and a ported MSD intake. Any tips for initial changes to make to get this thing going? I have done some LS1 tuning but haven't looked into the E38 stuff much at all. Any help is appreciated.

Same ideas:
- make sure injector tables are correct (including any scaling if you're running out of injector range or MAF range),
- correct VE with MAF disabled (MAF DTC showing) and CL/trimming disabled,
- correct MAF with VE disabled (dynamic air threshold) and CL/trimming disabled,
- setting timing on dyno,
- steet/drivability tuning,
- idle tuning.
See this thread (post #117): E38-VVE-Setup-Guide (https://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?8961-E38-VVE-Setup-Guide)
Also, there is stuff you can use from this LS1 thread: Calc-VET-correcting-MAF-and-calculating-VE-(in-single-log) (https://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?15236-Calc-VET-correcting-MAF-and-calculating-VE-(in-single-log))

Cool. Thank you. Anything i should adjust before startup? Injectors haven't changed so that can stay. I just remember for the LS1 bumping up idle airflow just to get the car running.

+1
increase desired idle rpm.

Well that wasn't as bad as i thought. Now if only i could get DFCO to work again. No DFCO MAP table in the E38. I see B2404 (DFCO Airflow Threshold) but.....milligrams?

Post your tune file.

I don't see anything under DFCO/CFCO that would prevent DFCO from enabling...
do you have the stock tune file to compare against...?

The DFCO settings are stock i believe. If it were an LS1 I'd assume due to the cam, the MAP may settings for DFCO may need to be adjusted. But thats not really an option here.

I feel like B2404 is where i need to be, but the units justs says milligrams. I'm not sure if thats measuring an offset of some other airflow or what. I'm certain airflow doesn't get that low on decel.

The description says "airflow" which implies "g/s" and the values in B2404 fit these units (e.g. 120 g/s is plausible);
"airmass" would imply "g/cyl" or "mg/cyl" and the values in B2404 do not fit those units (e.g. 120 g/cyl or 0.120 g/cyl don't fit... should be more like 0.60 g/cyl or 600 mg/cyl).
Try lowering the values in B2404.

Tried reducing by 20%. Not enabling DFCO yet. Going to experiment a little.

My guess is that B2404 is cylinder charge... milligrams/cylinder.
Try increasing all the values in B2404 by 25% from the values you had in the tune you posted. Also, try doubling all the values in B2403.

Makes sense that milligrams is cylinder charge. And that worked.
