Hey Paul,
Not sure what is happening with my v1.
It was working fine aND went out last night to make a change and got a popup saying it is scan only and to upgrade to scan and tune.
License file is the one you had sent me a long time ago and was working with the latest version of efilive.
Nothing changed, maybe a windows update.
Strange since I've been using this laptop for flashing for years, and even flashed a short time ago. Just out of the blue it says I have scan only.
I can read the pcm and save to a file no problem, it comes up with no errors connecting with the scanner and tuner, and then run either the test or flash I get the popup.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

The "Personal Scan and Tune" license has been discontinued.
A free upgrade to Commercial Scan and Tune is available. Send your serial number to me at paul@efilive.com and I'll email back the upgrade code.

Don't worry about sending an email, I obtained your serial number from the traces above.
I have emailed you an activation code to upgrade your V1 to a Commercial Scan and Tune.

I know this is an old post, but I'm in a similar place. Upgraded to Commercial, registered product, and flash still fails. Here is what I see:
Status shows a green check, so I selected Test for the first time.
It ran through Simulate ECM memory erase
Then Simulate reflash and 2K of 224K
Reflash failed ... aborting
Total time 00:11
Data compressed 29.2%
Clear emission related DICs
FSP interface okay
Auto detect PCM
PCM not detected
Help!

What PCM type are you using?
Can you check to see if a trace file was created in the folder \Documents\EFILive\V7.5\Bug Reports. The trace file will be named something like "20190926_120523_download.blx"
Where the numbers refer to the date/time that the trace file was created.
If the trace file exists, please email it to me paul@efilive.com.
Are you able to log data from the PCM - i.e. do any communications between FlashScan and the PCM work?
Regards
Paul

Thanks for the reply!
Something got upset and it all stopped working. I disconnected the batteries. For four hours I tried every possible option - reading or test flashing with the ignition key in various positions. I finally got to a place where the Scan tool wouldn't read anything and the flash tests just failed.
Disconnected the batteries and let it set. Reconnected and all seemed fine.
So, tried one last time. This time I de-selected the option for a high speed link. Now a flash with the current tune in Test mode finally worked!
So, I think I finally learned enough to be dangerous.
I have a tune file to load. It's for use with a DSP5. Do I do a flash, or a complete program with OS?
Truck is 2004.5 LLY that I bought new - so I know it has never been reprogrammed by anyone but my dealer.

I pulled the fuse to my radio with aftermarket adapter so it's not on the bus, then did a slow speed load of OS and tuning file. It all worked perfectly. Thanks for the help!

These things always cause problems, you'll probably have to do this everytime you flash.
