View Full Version : LS2 on an almost stock map - 3 degrees of KR when rich - ignore?

Hi all,

Can anyone put my mind at ease a little here? I have a stock LS2 in a kitcar, running stock GMPP LS3 map on an E67. Car runs and fuels beautifully after a fair bit of tuning/logging work by me.

I am getting 2-3 degrees of knock retard at high load, but what puzzles me is that the NB O2s are both showing very rich (c. 900mV) at this point. I would only expect knock when the mixture is lean.

Only get it at large throttle openings, and the only strange data (to me) is that the MAP kPA is c. 120 - seems high for a normally aspirated car.

Would anyone worry about this KR?

Martin.

Try giving it just a little more fuel in PE mode.

If you're running boost then you might have to reduce spark timing a little more.

Thanks Joe.

I richened up a little the target lambda values in the 'P.E. Mode Commanded Fuel (Lambda)' table, and that seems to have done the trick.

No boost on the engine, NA only, so still slightly puzzled that I am seeing 120-122kPA at full throttle, but not a biggie - car seems to run well regardless.

Martin.

How can stock MAP give you 120kpa?

Check the MAP scaler settings.
