If/when you replace a controller send proof of purchase (i.e. a scanned image of the invoice/receipt) of the controller to EFILive, along with a license backup file from your FlashScan or AutoCal device.

How to get the backup file:
https://support.efilive.com/kb_article.php?ref=9413-RPHL-6309

Send the info to me at paul@efilive.com and I can send you a replacement VIN license for your replacement controller.

Note: You can check you VIN license status, i.e. how many you have, how many are used, how many are available etc by using the V8 Scan and Tune software via [F7: Licenses]->[V3: VINs].
