Ive been reading alot and trying to put it all together. I was reading about 1/2 scaling and is this necessary on a e38 with 80lb injectors, supercharged. I was on a HP tuner sight and there was a lot of talk about scaling. I thought that was what the VVE table was about, that it was a better way to tune vs scaling. so much to learn. thanks

If you run out of injector flowrate or MAF flowrate, then you have to scale.

You usually scale VE, MAF and IFR all together... but there are various ways to achieve the same, depending on what you are scaling.

Scaling VE, MAF and IFR together is basically an "airmass" scale... it scales airflow and airmass (so you have to find all tables directly and indirectly referencing airmass or airflow and shift them down).

Other ways of scaling are basically a "fuel" scale... for example, you can scale the Stoich AFR and IFR together (without effecting airmass/airflow scaling)... or you can do the same thing by playing with the fueling multiplier tables... but it depends on what limitations you are trying to get around.
