Cruise control DBW 03190003 OS

I have wired up many cruise control switches on a NA DBW engine swaps, now on my shop truck, i have it wired up the usual way but it wont work.

According to the TECH 2 all switches work but cruise wont turn on. is this because of the failed Maf? and if so, is there a work around?

a bit late, but....

Failed maf doesn't inhibit cruise control, but a weird RPM/Speed ratio will....
