Hello,

I recently installed a 2000 LQ4 into my Chevelle. I have continuity from the sensor to the computer. The wires are in the correct computer connector locations but I am not getting some of my PIDS to work.

ECT reads -40
IAT reads -40
LTFT Bank 1 reads -100 all the time but Bank 2 works fine.

The electric fans seem to kick on when the engine warms ups but the low speed comes on once the engine is started. I set the on temp of 85C.

I ohmed the ECT and it was perfect.
I swapped the O2 and it did not follow.

Can you please help me?

EAT and IAT showing -40*F indicates that their signal wire is open circuit.

LTFT1 pegged at -100% indicates PCM problem.

You have a short in your fan wiring, or PCM problem; can you show me your wiring diagram.

( note: a short in the wiring may or may not cause PCM problems )

That is typically also lack of communication with the PCM.

Does the vehicle actually start?

Hello,

LTFT Bank 1 reads -100 all the time but Bank 2 works fine.

Can you please help me?

Is that in all fuel trim cells or only cell #22?

I was trying to log data in V8. I used the V7.5 Scan tool and figured it out. Everything works like it is suppose to.
Thanks for the help. Just a newbie here trying to learn.
