Hi
I got a ve ss and was tunerlocked so got it unlocked and stock tune put on.
Now apparently it had a custom os previously hp tuner I think.
It is in auto/l98.
Do I need to flash the TCM too which requires another license?
The problem is it will not start and throws brake, abs and dealer codes.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Did you read out the 'stock' tune that was put back on the ECM? Also, check the ECM connectors are really secure. I know they are a pain to reach but maybe pull the ECM out again and refit the connectors then see if it will start.
You shouldn't need to flash the TCM just to make it start.

OK tried checking plugs all good. reads and writes no problem.
Car started fine before I took the pcm out.
Couldn't get the original tune as it was tunerlocked.
Apparently this is the stock tune.
Even tried disabling anti theft and write entire and still wont start.

I'd be calling whoever unlocked it for you, sounds like something has gone wrong because when you do the VATS patch the car should start but you will get a warning on the dash about theft, but it'll run.
If the ECM reads and writes fine then yes it is unlocked and 100% functional.
Maybe before calling the unlock person go to this website and type in the VIN, then make sure what is in the ECM now is what GM say should be in there.
