Newbie - how to get started?

OK, my EFILive is being shipped, should get it in a couple days ... question is: how do I get started? I've been playing around with the demo and a downloaded tune a bit, but apart from that I don't have any experience in car tuning ...

The first thing you should do is decide on what your objectives are and the read as much as possible. Especially check out some of the Stickys.

Well, first objective was to find out what triggered the SES ... ;) Check.

Goal for now is to improve the stock tune on my stock car - either with a decent balance between performance and economy, or two tunes one for performancec, one for economy ...

The first one is easy. In the Scan Tool you will be able to see which DTC codes are. Hopefully there will be an obvious reason for the code being set :)

I am real happy with my tune right now for both power and economy. The best thing to do is read widely. There is a heap of information of this (and other forums) to keep you busy for quite a while :)
