I'm seeing on here that this is a pretty common thing, but didn't see any remedy. Went to flash a 2002 lb7, controller was licensed successfully but when I go to flash it I get this code. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Start with the basics, are you running the latest version of EFILive V7.5 and V8?

The public release is the latest available and has versions:
V8 Software: V8.2.8
FlashScan/AutoCal Firmware: V2.07.126 (Oct 18, 2017)
FlashScan/AutoCal Boot Block: V2.07.007 (Feb 07, 2014)
V7.5 Software: V7.5.13

Does this vehicle has any aftermarket modules on the VPW bus? If so, disable them all.
Do you have a bench harness and have you tried flashing on the bench?

Create a help desk ticket https://support.efilive.com/ and submit the following files:
A (*.lbu) license backup file from your FlashScan device.
A file read from the ECM after the $0533 error occurred.
The (*.htx) trace file that is saved when the $0533 error occurs.

MJ,

Did this end up working for you? I have still not had my issue resolved from a year ago and I am trying to get it closed up as well....

Thank you,

For clarity; your post states you replaced your ECM in 2016. You asked for help regarding a replacement license in 2017, and followed up a lack of response in 2018. I'm sorry I didn't see your post until you requested further support one hour ago.

Cheers
