Is there anyone that understands the 2015.5 - T87 transmission TCU code enough to do the inevitable and run the 8l90e standalone behind non chevy -B.O.P. ENGINES with a controller like tci or know of aftermarket efi ecu that will work in conjunction with t87? Holley has a efi ecu that runs a old trans

Please no discussion on ancent 4l80e trans based on even more ancient th400. The cost and effort of 4l80e to only gain overdrive is not logical. 6l90 is a light duty trans. My Olds will dictate a heavy duty auto and the 8l is that trans.

Thank you for any help

Hi Dr.Olds,

welcome to the forum

what torque does your engine make, and how high does it spin...?

Hopefully someone will know the answer.

Hello. Thanks for reply.

Engine spins to 5500 rpm. Oldsmobile is very torque orientated. Not high winding. Great for street duty.
