Is there any option for a VATS disable patch on a 2017 LT1 using the E92 ECM? I don't see the vats disable or starter relay disable anywhere. This is a conversion were doing, 2017 camaro LT1 into a street rod.

They are only done when people request them, I'll get you sorted out ASAP. How far off are you trying to fire it up?

Thank you so much, I'm modifying the harness right now hoping to be ready by the end of the week or first part of next week. Im also open to suggestions for a tach and speedo hook up if you would know any.

Do you need the tune file?

No need for the tune file, I'll post a .calz file up here when it is done.

Any luck with the calz file? Not trying to rush, just wondering how it was going.

HD release got in the way sorry..and I am supposed to be having some time off over Christmas (yes, why I my PC on!!)
Can you give me a time frame when you are really ready to fire it up?

Its actually ready to fire up now. Just need to change a few things in pcm to get it running, Vats and starter diagnostic shutting me down right now. I'm not in a "super rush", I understand it takes time.

I had a problem yesterday with 2016 Corvette C7 M7 that does not has the VATS tab ?
so I could not disable VATS just applying the VATS patch

Just checking in to see if there was any progress on the calz file yet?

Oh no I'm sorry I totally forgot about this. I'll get on to it today.

Ok try this, save the attached .calz file in to the folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\EFILive\V7.5\Calibrations\E92

With your V2 plugged in before you start the software, open the tune file and navigate to 'B9903', change to Applied.
You may also need to disable calibration 'G1219', this should stop the need to have a relay wired in to the starter control on the ECM (this prevents them running too).

For B9903 to take effect you must Full Flash the ECM, this only needs to be done once, after than you can continue with calibration only flashes.

Please let us know how it goes.

Cheers,
Ross

Update. Engine will start and continue to run, but its not consistent. Sometimes will not start unless you crank it a few dozen times. Possible I may have something wired wrong or a fuel issue. Also I noticed that the throttle body will not open 100% with just the key on, only opens maybe 30% with pedal at wide open. Is this normal with this ECM or is there something I'm overlooking in the program since this is in a swap project?

With the VATS it is a case of it either works or it doesn't, not really any 'sometimes' in it. There may be other issues causing the no start.
I can't answer on the pedal question sorry, it might be normal behaviour with just key on with this ECM, someone with one in a GM vehicle could probably check.

I figured out the no start issue, was a voltage drop while cranking (fixed). The throttle body issue must just be standard operation, because when its running it works fine. Problem I have now is figuring out how to hook up a brake switch for the TCC circuit, the ECM has an input for it from the BCM but I'm not sure what signal it needs to see, 5 volts, 12 volts, or ground.

What pin does it come in on the ECM?

I got it figured out I think. Here is some info to maybe help out the next person :)

Brake switch/TCC: Connector 1 (blue) pin 57, Open circuit for brakes applied and closed to ground for not applied.
Speed signal out put: Connector 1 (blue) pin 43
Tach signal: Connector 2 (black) pin 47

All seems to be working fine now. Thanks for the help

Next, to figure out tap up, tap down shift on the T87a controller :Eyecrazy:

I am needing to turn VATS off for a stand alone setup. Its a 2017 E92 as well. I have done some of the older E92s, but this "newer" version is obviously different and I definitely don't want to ruin the ecm. Can I just use the .calz file posted above and follow the instructions? Or would it be different for my ecm/tune. Here is the tune I'm working with. THANKS!

Every OS is different, I'll have a look today for you at your OS and post an updated .calz here.

Thank you very much! I have everything ready to fire this engine up on the run stand so this is the final exciting step.

Here's the .calz file that will give you the VATS disable patch.
Same instructions as the previous page showed....

Save the attached .calz file in to the folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\EFILive\V7.5\Calibrations\E92

With your V2 plugged in before you start the software, open the tune file and navigate to 'B9903', change to Applied.
You may also need to disable calibration 'G1219', this should stop the need to have a relay wired in to the starter control on the ECM (this prevents them running too).

Thank you! I'll get it loaded up and report back.

I think these need a load on the starter relay output too, I don't remember.

I loaded the file, plugged in my V2 to the Laptop, and opened the file. I now have the VATS Patch in the red engine folder. I have loaded the file to the ecm via full flash, also I am plugged into the ecm itself but there not a "VATS" folder or "Cranking" folder under the system icon where I can turn off the starter relay diagnostic and whatnot. I have a feeling this is going to cause me a problem on the run stand where I currently don't have the original 8 speed auto to plug in (I do have the TCM). The system won't know I am in neutral. Am I seeing the situation wrong? Thank you.

EDIT: I Posted this without seeing your follow up comment about the relay circuit

I took my time writing that last post, I guess you replied in the meantime. I will work on getting that starter relay pin happy. Should I incorporate a resistor?

I have fire at the plugs but I don't appear to have fuel. I do not see any injector pw on the scanner. Still trying things. I have the starter relay in place.

I am pretty sure VATS on the late model ECM's kills off fuel and spark, I don't think you can have one and not the other.

I got it to run, but it's so unfathomably rich...something is wrong somewhere. But the VATS patch apparently did what its supposed to do. I appreciate you getting the calz to me.

I get no response on the tachometer x2 pin 47. Ive tried 2 different tach, and I've tried a 1k ohm pull-up resistor. I also have zero visibility of tach adjustment in my tune file "system" tab. Is there more functions hiding in the background and I just cant see them in this particular operating system?

I never did get the tach working right. I turned it over to another tuner friend of my that uses different software, and he got it working. Its been some time but i believe he used a 680 ohm pull up resistor and had to change something in the tune. My guess is he changed it from CAN bus to crank, like the older ECMs used.

Could I get the Vats patch added to this one please.

Thanks
