Hi SE,

can you post the V7 tunetool's text log that it prints when you try to connect...?

I see you're in already communication with Paul in your other thread.

Haven't did a read on my 98 pcm since 09. At that time was able to read and flash with V1 version 7.3.

Went out today to read pcm with three different laptops all which can read the pcm for datalogging and do log with out error.

However:

Now with any of the three laptops all timeout while attempting to communicate to do a read. In addition the pcm is bricked and car won't start until I pull two fuses. Then it will restart - THANKFULLY. Basically states it can't find controller.

The only things that have been done to the PCM was a retune with V2 by tuner on the dyno. Retuned because of a cam change. Retune was done in March of this year.

This past month because of a new engine install the installer used a Tech2 to perform a GM Crankshaft Relearn.

Since then haven't driven the car except for 1/4 mile. Car is running way too lean. Wanted to read and reflash to fix AFR first.

Reading will brick the PCM and then have to go thru the start up procedure with fuses.

Version on laptops are latest version 7.5.24.

Is this issue related to OP's issue or because the tune in March was opened and saved to the pcm with version 8?

Please respond as I can't retune until this issue is resolved.

Post log and tune files.
