Base tune for '08 6.2 to '00 4.8 swap

I am modifying the 2000 harness and using a 58x to 24x conversion box and also trying to keep everything stock (gauges, stock transmission, etc). I need the 2000 '4896' PCM tuned for the 6.2. What base tune should I use and how should I modify it to work?

It's likely a L92/LS3 with square port heads, so no LS1B PCM is going to have a super close base tune. I'd start with a LQ4 or LQ9 and run the 02 OS 12212156 (leaves more COS options open and is a more stable OS). Depending what vehicle config you're using (truck, F-Body, Y-body), grab the appropriate base file and Full Flash it on your PCM.

You'll need to fully tune this as well as update the IFR for the 08 injectors, I believe Joecar has a nifty spreadsheet that handles this conversion so you can plug n play the IFR data from the 08 into the 02 tables. You'll also need to remove VVT or AFM if equipped.

It’s a truck 6.2 from a Yukon. Does this change anything? Would a truck 6.0 be close enough? Change the cylinder volume and adjust the flow rates?

Yes, the engine size, injector info, and airflow tables have to be adjusted (VE, MAF, and idle). You should be able to tune it from there.
