questions on tunning for a newbie

So new to this tunning thing so bare with me. Is it possible for me to read a tune out of lets say a 2010 durmax save that file tune it attach a vin to it and flash a different truck like a 2011 durmax with this tune file? thanks in advance

Yes, but only if the tune file's OS is compatible with the 2011 ECM (putting it very simply)... which may not be the case.



( the 2011 ECM would retain it's VIN, but you can change it using the scantool )
