View Full Version : Laptop not reconizing AutoCal

Have not had my AutoCal hooked to my laptop for a while and tonight when I plugged it in and started the software it kept prompting me to connect my AutoCal. None of the software will recognize that it is connected.

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Yes it does, just like when I plug it in to my truck. "Display DTCS"

So when you run V8 software it does not see your AC...?

No it dose not, it says to plug it in and says that other software may be using the AutoCal.

Go Start->All Programs->EFILive->V8->EFILive V8 USB Manager
and click Show Old Drivers... try each of the drivers.



Also: does your USB port has xHCI configured...?

Why would this work just fine 7 to 8 months ago and now my laptop dose not recognize my AutoCal? I have looked for my USB manager and can not find it, I am running WIN 10 if that makes any difference. I really appreciate your help with this....

Windows may have updated the FTDI driver.


You will find the USB manager in this folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\EFILive\V8

I have looked their and my V8 folder is empty, I may have down loaded the software to another drive on my laptop.

I have looked every where on all drives under EFiLive V8 and can not find the USB manager. Can I uninstall and reinstall the new software?

Un-install, and then reinstall to default folder (C:\Program Files (x86)).

ok I will try that with my fingers crossed, Will I be ok installing the up-to-date (current version) software?

Thanks joecar it worked, I updated the software and now my AutoCal is recognized by my laptop. Now if I and Idaho Rob could just figure what's going on with my DSP5 switch and tune things would be really good....
