Bought the truck from a dealer and efi live was already installed with dsp5 switch I do not know who did the tune or what tune it has, how would I go about finding out and changing it if I decide I want something different???? New to efi live

Gotcha. Well sad to say it may be near impossible to know where your tune came from without paperwork, stickers, or some hardware(autocal). DSP cannot be read out either.

Your only option if you wish to change tunes is buy from another shop and completely overwrite whatever is in there. Whatever is there will be lost obviously. Lots of good dmax tuners to pick from so that is a plus.

I am new to tuning diesels but have tuned my own street cars before what do I need to tune and upload on truck??

A v2 scan and tune. And a stock file with correct segments to your truck.
