After my wreck and losing the white c1500 I was tuning and upgrading im finally back in shape and able to start working on my Cars/Trucks again.

When we left off with the white truck I was doing an SD tune. Ran pretty good but tons of stuff was disabled in order to do that. Having lost some of my memories due to head trauma I'm Gonna need some help getting this tune lined out and into Calc VE Ready state.

What I need
- Help turning everything back on that was disabled for the SD turning.
- Help Calibrating the PCM to Use an LS3 Style MAF (From what I can piece together from messages It was just going to be changing a couple of properties in the tune)
X - Already has a different MAP sensor in preparation for boost.
- Ill probably need help setting up Calc VE again as I dont remember. I just know i was having a lot of luck with the other truck and got it up to 20mpg

Transmission is tuned top notch and perfect shift points and pressures. (Thanks to everyone that helped Including Circle D)

Will post tune file shortly.

Hey HKH, good to see you're going again  hope all is well.

Post your calc_pids.txt file from the User Configuration folder.

Remind me: do you have FSV2 or FSV1...?

Which wideband do you have...?

Flash and Scan V2

I have an LC-1 in the truck and an LC-2 I harvested from the white truck after the wreck.

The LC-1 is installed but should be able to easily switch it out or hook both up.

I'm working thru your files.

Thanks man... I dont think it was a total mess... The SD tune was pretty close to being on.
Timing might have been a little bit too high.
I dont think the knock sensor was working.

I plan on running a new line back from the PCM to the knock sensor.

PCM stayed on all the time even when key was off... I think I had a note somewhere about what might be the cause of that. Plan on fixing that as well.

I'm still looking, I'm just running behind, I'll catch up over the weekend.

No worries. Ill try to find that part number for the MAF sensor.

Just took the power steering box off to get at red head put on.

This truck will be practically brand new from bumper to bumper.

From your Cold Start log, looks like the wideband is not working (it reports AFR 25 always).

In tune file:

B0102 cranking VE: may need to increase that valley.
B4105 O2 Switch Point: set to 450 mV all cells.
B4107 Close Loop Mode: set this to same as 2002 F-car (OS 12212156).

the other trims tables are also zeros... you may want to copy these from a 2002 F-car 12212156 tune file... do this for any other tables that are zeros.

Can do.

That valley in the Cranking VE is there to compensate for flooding on startup with that Marine intake. If im not mistaken. Its been a while.

Got the rest of it done.

Trims should be re-enabled...

Just got some news from my engine shop on the motor.

Looks like one of the transmission I had hooked up to it at one point pressed very aggressively on the crank destroying the main seal and chewing up a bit of metal inside the engine. So all that has t be repaired as well.

I highly doubt it was the Circle D tourq Converter that cause that issue. I would be more included to guess that it was the junk transmissions from Mad Dog Transmissions. Just another Bunch of $'s because of going with those guys.22010

It probably wore into the thrust surface of the main bearing (#3).

Yea Very sadening but hey... Its all part of it i guess..

Really looking forward to doing the calc VE instead of the way I was working with that setup before... It was difficult. So much better to run Calc VE

Calc.VET (improved variation on Calc.VE) is fairly easy to run...

see here: Calc-VET-correcting-MAF-and-calculating-VE-(in-single-log) (https://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?15236-Calc-VET-correcting-MAF-and-calculating-VE-(in-single-log))

Id like to get this maf running in my setup.

I have an adapter for the plugs.

But what do I need to change to get this working.

Its a K-9 the fast sensor.

PS: the MAF was previously disabled in my original tune.

Put the MAF diagnostics settings back to stock (look at C2901-6).

I will post logs as soon as I turn the key.

What I would like to do it's run an ls3 card style maff. I had heard you can change a couple parameters then do a calc be sand calc maf. Getting everything lined out that way and having the 4" intake time.

Any suggestions as to what I should change in the time to make it runner first time out?

Thanks

MAF table would be the only thing needing correcting (i.e. do AutoMAF or half of Calc.VET).

I saw this post earlier just didnt respond. Thats awesome. Thanks for the information its exactly what I needed to know.

I have the Engine Back and a couple of wiring issues to fix.

1 the PCM doesnt power off with the key. I'm not sure whats causing that... But every time I need to re-flash I have to pull the battery cable. Plus its killing the battery when it sits. Seems like someone suggested moving a wire. Gonna have to go thread digging for that one.

My knock sensor doesn't read which is bad. I had some knocking/pinging under strenuous conditions. Going to run a fresh wire and connector to the already replaced knock sensor.

Good to see your priorities are slowly falling back in line. :grd:
