Can anyone get past the 8192 rpm in a 2006 E38? When I hit 8192 rpm it goes into reduced power mode. This happens if I dont let out quick enough shifting, IM not trying to make power above 8192 rpm. Just need it not to shut off it hits 8192 rpm. Please PM me if you can, I do not mind paying for this if someone can do it.

Thank you.

The core issue is the scaling of the RPM values in the ECM, that is the absolute maximum it can ever see. Sorry I have no clue how you would solve that or if GM even had a handler for that situation in the code.

I just dont want the car to shut off or go into reduced power. I have the rev limiter at 8,000 rpm but it still barely bumps 8192 rpm some times when shifting shutting car off wasting the whole run.

What about changing the rev limiter type to try to get it not hit 8192 rpm? I can lower some more rpm also....right now its on fuel only

Can you set all limiters (Spark, Fuel, Throttle) to No, and use an external limiter(like an MSD or something?). No idea if that will work! Never had to rev that high! :)
