VIN change with HP tuners 3 bar OS

Has anyone used the EFILIVE scan tool to change the VIN on a HPT 3 bar PCM? Asking for a friend...

Search didn't get anything, just wondering if it will brick the PCM if I even try. Not that it would be the end of the world, because then we can use a real COS.

You can change the VIN BUT it will require it to be re-license in HPT due to the VIN OS mismatch no matter if they have unlimited of that vehicle model.

That's what happened in the first place. Need to change it back. But the 3 bar deal won't affect it?

No the VIN has zero effect on the actual tune. I dont even read the tune when I change VIN's.

Know it has nothing to do with the tune, but thought maybe there was an interface issue.
