have a 07 3500 c&c with OS 11720604 found clean tune with same Cal ID 55351435bf but different OS . I assume this will work fine but do not understand how same Calibrations can have different OS. Makes it hard to run Comparisons in 7.5 . Does anyone know how to make tuning program run comparison.

Check the CalID again, it is usually the last two letters that change with an OS update, eg 55351435BF might go to 55351435BG

Thanks for the reply & I understand how the CalID update numbers progress, just don't understand how same cal have different operating systems. This makes it impossible to run comparisons in the tune tool. Even though the calibration ID is the same. Is there any way to compare across operating systems?

Can you give a specific example of where they have the same CalID and have different OS's?
V7 cannot compare between different OS's unfortunately.

Yes, CalID 55351435BF with an OS of 11720604 clean tune has CalID 55351435BH but operating system #11551035.

55351435BF = OS 11720604
55351435BH = OS 11551035

The CalID revision is different, am I missing something?

it is the same calibration just the updated version. If you look up that calibration on Tech Authority they all supersede to 55350435BH.

Ok so the base calibration (55351435) is the same with updates but that does not mean they are exactly the same which is why they went from 'BF' to 'BH'.
This is the full list of revisions, each one will have a different Cummins OS too...

55351435AZ
55351435BA
55351435BD
55351435BE
55351435BF
55351435BH

This number / letter combo is not a Cummins thing, it is only used by Dodge.They do the same thing on the gas ECM's.

So every calibration update by dodge generates a new OS. 07.5 DODGE 6.7 AUTO 50S 3500 DR - RAM 3500 PICKUP

All these calibration changes update to cal 55351435BH and will all have a deferent OS#. No way to change OS# to trick tune tool into comparing them?

There is no set rule to this unfortunately, but typically when a new CalID comes out the OS is also different, we have 26 unique OS's mapped for the 07-09 so there is lots of updates out there.

No, it wouldn't work anyway as the maps in each OS are located in different spots.
