I am building a 1947 Federal truck with 2006 Duramax/4l80e Chevy Express van. The harness was reworked by Standalone Harness. The ECM was sent to tuner for tow tune and EGR/VATS delete. Everything installed and ready to go. Engine starts and runs for 2 seconds and shuts off. Scan tool shows the VTD is still active and sets EGR codes. I don't think the tuner I paid did anything to my ECM. I have been reading this forum and others, thinking I would tune the ECM myself. I've concluded that it is not cost effective for me to tune one vehicle. So, I am looking for an experienced and RELIABLE person to install a tow tune (400-450hp) and delete the VATS and EGR. The truck will be used for show and towing a car hauler.

MODS:

Upgraded exhaust manifolds, up pipes, 3" down pipe

Water /air intercooler, custom intake

3.42 gears, 40 inch super singles

Delete VATS, EGR, Fuel pump relay, air intake heater

You do need to determine why your engine is shutting down. That is not likely in the map tuning itself. It is more likely a VATS issue, or fuel starvation. I am happy to read out your ecm to determine if it was programmed to your expectations, and provide what you are asking for, which is pretty basic.
