View Full Version : 2013 LML Durmax/Allison going into 2015 Yukon. Module Crosstalk?

Ive electrically mapped both vehicles and even did a comparison to 2015 Silverado Durmax setup. I am able to, from the Yukon, correctly provide all and ever circuit to the Durmax ECM that it currently has in the donor truck and the same as it would be in a 2015. The rest to the Yukon is unmolested from the BCM and all its controlled sub modules. Every controller/module used co-exists in a mix of vehicles but no such critter as a Suburban/Yukon Durmax. Im worried about the high speed bus crosstalk playing well together. I cant use the BCM from a Durmax truck because it will not control the extras such as rear air and rear hatch.

The reason I ask here is because a few viewers could give me advice on where to turn for answers (I hope!) but I am hopping that the EFILive's VIN number change function would authenticate the cross talk between the BCM and ECM. Since all modules used exist in a over lapping fashion in various vehicles, they speak the same language.

Advice?

The modules don't really talk to each other as much as they all broadcast information. Some modules listen to said data and then use it for various purposes. Changing vins doesnt change what is broadcast.
