Unfortunately the Vortec PCM's are not supported. Your best bet is to do the 0411 PCM swap with help from Lextech's repinning spreadsheet (send him a PM for info). It's not all that difficult to do and the PCM is much better than the 96-00 Vortec...

Yet according to Cindy's stick.. it's supported just nothing new...

No worries. I ran into the same thing. I can read my 350 vortec but the 454 wasn't supported. Other options include tunercat or the 0411 swap. There's a starter team for the 454 on this board if you decide to go with the 0411

Probably go 411 swap later.. got to go rescue my other truck.. I was hopeful to pull the TQ management out, deactivate EGR and remove the post O2s before I left
Out

BTW
Where's the 454 stuff hiding at?

Same ecm
Sorry malibu795 they aren't the same ECM's, the 96-97 had one type, then it changed again for 98-00 (the one we supported but have since retired active work on).

Can it still have the 411 swap done?

I don't know sorry, I'm not sure what is actually involved in that process.

been going through it... been getting lean burn codes on the O2 and 1406, above 1/2 throttle engine tends to lay over on power dragging a 7k trailer and gets more noticeable the heavier I get...
cant get the fuel system lined out... new filter/fuel pump w/sock/injectors..
all data has 56-62psi for specs
key on fuel pressure 46psi
key off fuel pressure drops almost instantly to 15-20psi
free rev drops to 40psi from 46psi
all pressures measured at test port.
putting a 340LPH pump in the tank will probably mask the problem due to shear volume of fuel sent..
picked up adapter to swap line to -6 AN to run from tank to engine for supply and return incase one of the steel to hose transitions pealed over and is restricting flow..
fuel pressure regulator is vacuum controlled
both FPR and fuel pump are under 12M warranty...getting new FPR tomorrow
could I have a gotten a bad fuel pump?
have exhaust (dual 3" ) and 0411 ECM waiting to go one... get one problem fixed at a time...

Swapped fuel pump hits 62psi with key on then drops to 58psi, used the bigger pump I mentioned

after multiple attempts... engine had no power... yanked the MPFI system off, put a MSD 6AL with blaster SS coil billet dis, edelbrock performer intake, fast ezi efi 1.0, oem fuel pump.. also swap to adjustable valve train with 1.7 roller tip rockers. comp cam conversion stud is #4514-16 ~$90.00 since I already did the 0411 swap ill turn all the SES codes off..
