NEED Help E67 standalone for sandrail ALPHA Fab system DBW problem
Bought Alpha Fab harness and computer for 2008 cobalt 2.2 motor with coil on plug. Everything starts and runs fine until you get on the throttle too fast (I think) it will start to accelerate then loses power and returns to idle. If you baby the throttle by pressing slowly it will accelerate fine, but it doesn't take much for it cut out. Throws P0606 code and if you shut off disconnect battery for a few seconds it will start and run fine again but does same thing.
Back story - contacted Alpha Fab 4 months ago about issue, was told to buy gas pedal matching VIN in ECM (E67) but didn't help. Was also told new ecm was being shipped 10/17, wouldn't respond to emails etc. finally gave tracking # on 11/2 but shows never shipped. Point is I can't get these guys to fix this and i'm stuck
I don't have any tuning knowledge or hardware, so any help or idea of who could help would be appreciated. I'm in Phoenix, AZ area.

Besides other things, make sure the diagnostic MAP/ETC tables have sane boundaries.
Does this happen regardless of RPM...?
Can you post your tune file...?

2008 cobalt 2.2
Are you sure you got an E67...?

I posted in both places since it is also a speed density tune I have.

Speed Density = MAF failed/deleted.

Are you seeing a MAF DTC...? (you should be)

Although I couldn't prove it I think it's related to the speed at which the pedal is pressed, and not necessarily same RPM every time. But it's so finicky I haven't been able to drive enough to pinpoint the symptoms. I don't have any tuning knowledge to know where to begin with posting the file. I don't have any tuning software either, just figured you guys that do might have some insight

I would say 99% sure. Monday I will double check the casting #'s but it's the three plug model looks like what i'm seeing when I google it

Did some more testing and the condition does not necessarily happen same RPM every time, however I would say seat of the pants it feels like motor is under same type of load whenever it happens. Interesting though I was able to feather the throttle up close to 2500 - 3000 and then floor it and it revved out without the pedal cutting out. Looked for freeze frame data from my computer using "car scanner" but nothing logged for the P0606 code. Not sure if this helps or even means anything...

Try disabling some of the ETC sanity tests (set the enable parameters high enough to not be attained).

Alpha Fab sent new E37 ECM and a new harness since I had an E67 - Took way too long, but he made it right and now it runs great

Hey, I'm brand new here and I have a question? I didn't know where else to post but this thread seems to be similar to what problems I have been dealing with. I have a 2006 2.2 ecotec from an impala with the E37 pcm. It has coil on plug ignition with FBW throttle pedal. It also has the 3 pin crank sensor. I was told by Phil at Philsbugshack he could tune these with no problem. Unfortunately he retired by the time I was ready to start my project. I had the pcm tuned by another company and tested it out on my boat. It ran good the first time I started it, but after a few starts and runs the engine is surging and can't seem to find idle, there are no codes in the pcm. After a few minutes of running it starts to throw 1ft flames out of the catalytic converter. I put a scanner on it and the Map sensor never changes from 13.1 during idle or at 4k rpm. I'm just needing some advice and help if anyone is familiar with this year and pcm. I was told by Alpha they could not tune this particular 2.2 due to the 58x reluctor and 3 pin crank sensor. If anyone has any information at all I would be at you service.
Thank you.
