What year/model/vehicle do you have...?

What are your other mods (engine)...?

What problems do you see (if any), and what are your immediate goals...?

2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS. Mods are Air Intake & ARH Long Tube 1-7/8 Headers with High Flow Cats, Full Exhaust and Muffler Deletes.
My goals are firm strong shifting and I hate hate that it shifts into 5th and 6th at lower speeds. i kind of wish it was a 4 speed sometimes.

With your mods the TCM should already be commanding firm (not harsh) shifts... post your TCM tune here.

You can edit the shift tables to avoid upshifting at low mph in 5th and 6th... ( note that the shift tables should *not* cross each other anywhere... if any do cross, you should uncross them )... if you move the shift curves pay attention to the rpm corresponding to the end point mph on each curve.

SOMFormula,

The forum seems to sometimes truncate posts...

write your post in Windows Notepad first, and then paste it in a reply.

And I’m posting from my phone which probably isn’t helping any.

I’m on my phone. But you can do a LOT with the 6L’s. They are far superior to the 4L’s of yesterday!
There is a “sticky” here on the forum. You’ll want to read it! It explains how the 6L works. You tune the trans THRU the ECU.
So, higher base pressure will help
Lower the TQ management about 30%. Please don’t go higher then that!!! You risk damaging the trans if you completely shut off the TQ management. That’s a big no-no! I fix a LOT of botched tranny tunes and have seen several blown up 6L’s because someone shut off the TQ management. I like seeing timing go about -5 between shifts. It makes a cool ass bark when it shifts.
Set your pressures parameter max settings up! Watch your TQPID in the scanner to make sure your seeing the correct TQ the engine is producing.
If your moving the stock cam around, you’ll gain more HP out of the L99 and more low end TQ too!
Also set the TQ management shift to “immediate”

If you have ANY flaring, weird shifts, or crazy timing curves during a shift, the engine isn’t tuned properly.

they normally use pattern A in performance mode and normal when in drive... i think you can log what shift mode the trans is in.

Ok thanks. Im going to have to check it out. Im actually trying to get the Sport Mode which would be M on the shifter to shift only from 1-4 and use D as normal and full shifting. I cant seem to lock out 5,6 gears.
