2003 5.3 with 4l60e swapped into a 2003 Trailblazer. Everything works great but when given hard throttle and after making the 1-2 shift, the throttle loses power for a second or two before it kicks in. Almost like a brief limp mode. If I watch the timing during this it drops from 30

Any ideas on what would cause timing to be pulled to -10 during/briefly after a 1-2 shift?

Torque Management/Reduction are kicking in, should be able to reduce/eliminate it pretty easily. It's there to save the transmission and soften the shifts, I like to remove around 50% to start and go from there.

... after making the 1-2 shift, the throttle loses power for a second or two...
Also check the shift time tables, 1+ seconds is way too long for a shift.
