I purchased the scan only to change my vin and I am getting an error. $31 out of range has anyone been able to change vins on the e92

Well to be fair you posted this on the weekend, not everyone spends their weekends on the internet (I don't even turn my PC on).
So I am assuming you are using V7.5 scantool to do this? One thing to try is to make sure the clear DTC's box is ticked before changing the VIN as shown in the picture below.
