Is there anyone that can convert an HPT tune over to EFILIVE format? I finally was able to get my hands on a stock tune for my setup, but it is an HPT file. I realise that said person will have to have both programs. But it is worth a shot. Well Shat!! Can't opload the file, some days I really hate elactronics..

2500 pickup 8.1/4L85E the HPT file I have is either a Suburban or a Tahoe. so far I haven't been able to find a stock tune for EFILive. I have been given a couple of partially tuned files. but they dont seem to like my setup?? so I want to start with an un-modified tune, and work from there, but hens teeth are easier to find. lol

If you can get me a VIN number of what you're looking for, I can flash either an 0411 or my 1mb for you with my TECH2, and read it back out with my V2. And FYI, there was never a pickup tune with an 8.1l and 4l85e in the newer body style pickup, only the ULTRA rare 01 3500HD older body style, and the SUBURBAN/YUKON XL 2500's had that combo.

Did some searching and I think I got just the thing for you. A 2004, 2500 SUBURBAN, 8.1l, 4L85E, and it's 4X4.

Yes i know, thats why im looking for a suburban tune. My truck was originally a 6.0 / 4L85E. I put the 8.1 in it ;-)

You transfer the PCM with a .hpt tune. Then, at that point, I show up with EFI and download your tune from the PCM and EFI peruses it fine. (I expect, I've won't ever attempt)
How might the PCM acknowledge the two records and I can download any document that is in the PCM?
Or then again is it that a PCM stacked with a .HPT record is encoded by .HPT and assuming I go in with tunercat or EFI or LS1 alter, I can't understand it? Seems like that would screw alot of folks over.

If an HPT COS (custom OS) is not used, and if an EFILive custom OS is not used, and if the ECM is not locked, then HPT and EFILive can read/write the same tune from/to the same ECM.

I replaced your link with plain text.

Any reason you pasted that link in your post...?
