Oh shucks guys

Some stats for ya: Since the end of October 2005 some 9000+ EFILive Tune Files have been downloaded form all over the world. The site started in Jan/Feb 2005 so there would likely be around the 20000 file downloads in total.

Keep the tunes coming. If you see stock tunes I don;t have, please send them through to me so that we can have the most complete file section possible.

Cheers,

And dont forget to submit modified tunes, they are anonymous so dont worry if you dont think they are perfect. Nobody knows or cares, they are just good for getting ideas and looking at differernt tuning approaches.
So get that cam tune you did last month and send it in with details of the mods to Chad or Andrew. How about some Forced Induction or large stroker tunes too guys!?

Would you be interested in my 02 TrailBlazer stock and modded tunes even though the modded one is still a work in progress?

LOL. Who's tune isn't a "work in progress"? it is up to you if you want to submit it really...

I think I may have a 02 Trailblazer (stock) tune already. It is a 4.2l with an LL8 engine, and an auto. Does that sound different to yours?

Yup you can go ahead and send them over. Even if he already has a stock file for it, it may be a different OS.

Thanks for the contribution!!

FWIW, all 02-03 TBs have the I6 and only the long models from 04-05 got them in the TB, the Voy got the 5.3L V8 in the Denali model in 05 but the TB has the LS2 6.0L V8 in the SS model. Thats power baby!!:muahaha:

(BTW, all TB platforms are autos, there isnt a manual trans option which for me isnt a big deal however it is for some.)

And, I will send them over soon.

There are a couple of radix tunes but not for corvettes. Take a look at them to get ideas. You will almost never find a tune which matches 100% even if you did Id definately not run it. You dont know what state of tune its in. Might be stage 1 of a 50 stage tuning process.

Bottom line, is read and look at loads of stuff to get the basics sorted and once you have the understanding make the changes in your tune.

You're right . I'm not asking for 100% tune. I only need the guidelines and then I can start from there .

i dl'd this modified tune because i want to install an F13 in my 02. the mods are pretty much identical to the one listed minus the td's and ssra. whenever i happen to do the swap, i can just upload this tune to the pcm and be good to go right?

Tread with care young one. No guarantee the tune is good or a perfect match. You are better to use it as a reference rather than as a base.

If you are the gambling type throw it in. But you best be on your toes with logging and make sure its not going to throw you lean and/or detonate your pistons to pieces etc.

How do you know they arnt running different injectors? Or MAF etc?

i wouldn't have it uploaded w/o it being checked out by someone who knows more about it than i do.

NviouSS - As Ringram said, be very cautious with this approach. A Tune is specific to the engine it came from.

After we mod our engines, we then tune them to get every ounce of performance out of them. Unlike the OEM tunes that are designed to work with GM's sloppy tolerances and the general publics vast range of driving techniques.

If you visit http://www.holdencrazy.com/EFILive/ you will see: "Email your tunes to <A href="mailto:efilive@holdencrazy.com"[/quote">efilive@holdencrazy.com"

thats the link that should have been in the first post as it has where to upload and download tunes.

also there should be a link on the efilive home page or under downloads just so to integrate everything and make it easyer to find where to upload and download tunes and i guarantee you its going to double over night.

also i think it looks pretty primitive to attach a tune to an email it really makes efilive look bad and the hassle discourages people from uploading tunes...it would be cool to click on something that opens a box that i could attach a tune to.

HI GUY,
I am new at this tuning stuff really new! I have 03 6.0 vortec out of an express with 4l80e and the ECU. I am going to put this engine only in an 1980 3/4 ton 4spd manual trans 4x4.I am looking for a tune from a compatiable 4x4 that had a manual box too, to help with some of my retro fitting.I didnt see any thing that i thought would be usable out there.
Also wondering if anyone knows of an adapter for a vss signal that just scewins in to a speedo cable.

Any other hints would help too!!!!! THANKS

I really don't even have a good base tune can't find one.

Anybody got a good tune for like a 2002 Express van with L31 and 4L80
or any other tune that will work with the 411 processor

I am not sure how many different OS versions it will support

I am using one I found posted in another forum here
lt looks like a custom tune for nitrus
2001 L31 express Van 5.7 auto custom operating system #3_0000.tun

I have been tweeking with it
may have found a temporary work around to get it shifting by moving the VSS from the transfer case to the transmission

But that seems to screw with all the shifting tables

I was wondering if the speedo geers had different tooth count thay must

The PCM needs to know the output of the transmission for slip diagnosis and the output of the rear propshaft for vehicle speed.

On some transfer cases Auto 4WD the TCCM "transfer case control module" needs to see the slip ratio from front to rear propshafts, these units have three VSS sensors. This slippage is monitored and the transfer case clutch is modulated.

Transfer case clutch?
my transfer case has no clutch has a 2.72:1 gear change for low range

Originally my 4L80 had no rear VSS only the rear transfer case ( NP243 )VSS?

I trying to figure out a way to get the transmission to shift when in 4Lo with the 411 PCM

Thanks,

I known the transfer case has 40T gear
What is strange is in 2wheel drive 1:1 it shifts great when VSS pluged into transfer case, but moving VSS connection to the rear 4L80 shift, it won't shift

do you use a license when reading a tune from the PCM?
(can i pull a tune from a car without being locked to it?)
i ask because i have met some people with new cars
and was wondering because i want to collect as many tunes as i can
and i don`t want to waste a license/vin.

Nope, you can read as many tunes as you like. Only uses a license if you want to flash a new tune into the PCM. :)
