Hey there, So I know 2 years later. The combination that I am trying to get started is a 2015 L83 and I have it mated to a 2008 6L90E2WD. This combo is in a 1960 Ford swap. I have run through 2 different harnesses (Fuel Injection Connection and Howell performance). I can scan though the FIC harness but not the Howell harness.

My issue is this, I think that I need a 2015 file for the 6L90E to match the E92 programming to get this to even start. Is the 2008 T43 capable of the 2015 tune or do I need a new T43? I have never gotten this thing to start. Fuel pump primes through both harnesses but has never commanded fuel on injectors. Are the t43 different between years?

This is a personal project but I have become numb to it and could use info to keep me moving on the right track. I'm just at a loss.

Maybe if I put a known working E92 file in and a known working t43 file that matches, would that cure this?

Thank you in advance

0 chance of getting a 2008 trans to talk to any ecu after 2009/2010.

you gonna need to put a later model year tcm in the gearbox.

Thank you for the heads up. So If I purchase a 2011 TCM and flash for the 2015 trans stuff, does that get me in the ball park of starting this engine?

Thank you again,

anything closer to the ecu year should be good, i believe the protocol change was in the 09+ years for the tcm to ecu comms

hey there back with updates.

so I purchased a 2014 TCM and valve body for a 2014 silverado 2wd. i put it in and changed filter etc. i reinstalled the aftermarket wiring harness and added the vlom wiring that was missing from howell product. I then updated my laptop to efi live and firmware updates etc. No luck. I can read both controllers. I set up my scanning for trouble codes and pids to see basic funstions. I do not see any change in the injector BPW at all. rpm when cranking 147. NO trouble codes. The injector are not being commanded ON I think. I have posted the 2 files. E92 and T43. What do you all think?

Do you have any codes? it should start in a hotrod style harness, even if trans not compatible, check the harness under rear intake manifold, there are 2 connectors that can be positioned in each other positions, it goes to injectors, and rail pressure sensor, double check this please, i have find this problem several times

Use HP tuners to remove vats for some weird reason I have not had no luck using efi live on 2015 and up GM.
