The VE stability control issue could be one of two things.

1. The rear wheel ABS sensors are faulty or on the way to failure. However if this is an issue it should throw the wheel sensor code. Not sure if EFIlive autocal of Flash scan 2 will show a log code for this, you may need a scan tool like snapon or Ourauto.

2. On the rear drivers side there is also a plug in short wiring loom that controls both rear wheel sensors, this wiring loom plugs in just in front of the rear suspension beam. The plug forces the wiring to basically fold back on it self. It will appear as if the wring is all good but it becomes quite brittle and will cause the fault. I would check both this short wiring loom section and the wheel sensors, they are not expensive to replace and are a common issue that will will light the stability light.

That said I have just recently had had the crank sensor fail also, it will also throw the stability light as fault also.
