Also why the licenses is just 300 per device ? I mean while you are makeing new device why not to make it to handle 1000 VINs ?

It's just a trade off between available secure flash storage inside the CPU and amount of data collected and saved per VIN license.
In all likely hood, once the V3 firmware development is finalized there will be additional flash memory available then that limit can be increased. Probably x4 up to 1200 VINs. But for the initial release we can only claim up to 300 because that's all we have allocated so far.

V3 was not designed for stream licensing since stream licensing is not available for the later model controllers. However we are looking at some sort of option to allow existing V2 streams (or something similar) to continue to work on V3 devices. Can't say for sure yet if that will happen or not.

This information is subject to change. It documents our planned roadmap, due to circumstances beyond our control these plans and time-lines are subject to change (i.e. Covid-19 mitigation policies).

-----------------------

Release Dates:

AutoCal V3 devices are scheduled to begin shipping in the next two weeks.
FlashScan V3 devices will start shipping sometime after that (probably 3-4 weeks later), depending on field testing results for the FlashScan V3 devices.

-----------------------

Pricing:

TBA - similar to existing V2 prices.

-----------------------

Hardware upgrades:

Upgrade discounts will not be provided.

-----------------------

License upgrades (FlashScan only):

Streams:

Existing FlashScan V2 stream licenses may be transferred to your new FlashScan V3 device. The transfer process will cost $99 plus shipping and your FlashScan V2 and V3 will need to be returned to EFILive for the transfer to be performed. The stream licenses will be removed from the V2 device and added to the V3 device. Both devices will be returned to the customer.

VIN Licenses:

Used VIN licenses may be transferred from your existing FlashScan V2 to your new FlashScan V3. You will need to email a "license backup file" to EFILive. That license backup file contains your FlashScan V2's VIN licenses. EFILive will email back a "license upgrade file" that may be used to add those FlashScan V2 VIN licenses to your FlashScan V3. The used VIN licenses are not removed from your FlashScan V2.
The VIN license transfer process can only be performed once per FlashScan V3 device.
Unused VIN licenses cannot be transferred to your new FlashScan V3.

Assuming all the VIN licenses from your 4 V2's fit on a single V3 (600 limit) then yes, that is technically possible. We are still working out the actual procedures required to do that. It will most likely be handled via emailing license backup files of your old V2's to EFILive and EFILive emailing back a VIN license import file for you new V3.
For transferring streams from V2 to V3 you will be required to return your V2 to EFILive so the streams can be transferred off of the V2 and onto the V3.

However, FlashScan V3 will not be available for 4-6 weeks. Only AutoCal is available from next week.

I hope you could find a way to increase the limit size for the maximum licenses .
It will not handle 4 V2 ( each one have 221 lincens ) so arround 884 licenes

AC V3 scheduled to start shipping on Tuesday 2nd June.

Due to some last minute technical problems, AutoCal V3 shipping has been delayed until next Monday 8th June.
Apologies for the delay, we were so close to releasing today. However, we have decided to err on the side of caution and take some time this week to re-test the the AutoCal devices to ensure the problems have been fixed properly.

Will the V3 still be able to have external analog inputs (0-5v for wideband, etc)?

The V3 devices do not have any analog inputs. For wide-band connectivity the serial interface is the preferred method.

How about via the CANBUS on Gen 4 stuff via AEM X series?

How about via the CANBUS on Gen 4 stuff via AEM X series?

If any wide band was supported by V2 devices via a CAN PID, then they will also be supported by V3 via the same method and CAN PID.
