Hi, I’m working on my friends 2008 duramax. He bought the truck tuned with the auto cal via farmtruck tuning. His ecm just recently failed. So the replacement ecm is programmed to stock. I have a few questions. 1) is the “tuned” calibration stored in the autocal handheld? It seems that it is loaded in slot three. 2) can we just purchase a new vin license and reload the stored custom tune into the replacement ecm(since the autocal came with the truck)? Hopefully it’s that simple. Please lmk and thanks for your time. -Timothy Rotter
