Stand Alone E80

I'm helping a friend put a 2016 Camaro SIDI turbo I4 into a older Triumph. In OEM configuration the "On/Start" signal appears to come from the BCM. Does anyone know if the E80 can be made to stand alone?

I'm assuming you'll need to just bypass all that and have the starter wired up old school style via the Start position on the IGN switch and of course a neutral safety switch as well.
