Hey Everyone.

2000 Camaro 6 speed with 12212156 base tune. I matched up the OS and segment swapped in an 80e tune. I was able to get the trans to work well but always had a U1000 and C0181 code that threw a Service Vehicle light. I can’t pass emissions with these two DTC’s popping up.

I also tried a 12212156 base tune with a 60e and the codes disappear but once I segment swapped in the 80e tune it throws the codes again.

I’ve tried a 6.0 and a 5.7 truck/van 80e tune and all resulted in the same issues.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Glenn

The C0181 is a DTC from the ABS traction control system. You may have a problem with the throttle reduction motor and/or wiring. This DTC isn't related to VSS output of the PCM either. Could it be a different DTC #? Also which module is responsible for the U1000? Does the car have traction control?

Thank you Al for helping me to think this through. I believe I figured it out. I did the segment swap using my camaro tune and adding in the 80E parameters. Before I was using the 80E tune and adding in my engine tune in. So for the moment I dont have any of the codes pulling above. I still need to drive the car so I hope it shifts and drives correctly.

Ill keep you posted. Thank you again!
