Hello everyone, I'm new to the EFI Live family. I have an 03 Silverado Duramax 4x4 with an 05 LLY Duramax engine and trans installed. When I installed the engine and trans, I had to have the fuel gauge re-scaled because it was reading backwards. I recently had to replace the ECU. So again, my fuel gauge reads backwards. I've purchased EFI Live to fix this problem and put some tunes on the truck. I've looked through the forum for help, but have been unsuccessful. Can someone help me with this? Right now, my truck is full of fuel, the gauge reads empty and the fuel light is on. Just trying to get it fixed. Thank you.

The best way to recalibrate your gauge:
1. Run your truck out of fuel. Keep a container of diesel in the bed for when this happens.
2. Head to service station with your log tool, parking your truck on a level surface.
3. Beginning with zero fuel, write down your fuel level voltage that coincides with the pump reading in gallons. I would pump a gallon, record the voltage reading.
4. Repeat step 3 for every gallon until your tank is full.
5. Now you have the data for your new voltage scaling table.

Just find an LLY tune and copy the fuel tank settings and paste into your LB7 tune and save. You may have to scale it to fit the parameters as i don't remember off the top of my head. I would not go through what the above poster said unless you have a LOT of time on your hands.
