I have had EFI Live for a while and have tuned several vehicles including my 2005 turbo Silverado. I also have a 2006 Silverado I put a turbo on. I wanted to run a COS like I did with my 2005, and just assumed I could flash in the 2005 OS and be off and running. Well when I flash in the 2005 OS I get Reduced Engine Power U0107 code, and the truck instantly goes into limp mode. I cleaned every ground on the truck and the problem does not go away. I flashed the original OS back in, and the problem goes away. I want to be able to run about 12 PSI of boost. Thanks

I think 06 is when GM switched the pedals and TAC from 03-05. Unfortunately EFILive doesn't offer a COS for 06-07 LS1B controllers, so to use an 05 OS you'll need to swap a few hard parts and make the entire DBW system act as if it's an 05.

Erik,

Thank you for the reply. I will try that to see if it works. That would be a simple fix in my book.

If anyone comes across this, I put in a TAC module, pedal assembly, and harness from the pedal to the TAC from a 2003 Avalanche and have not had any problems (yet). I flashed in the 05 OS I wanted. The GM part # on the TAC I got is 12573059. Thank you for that advice Erik.

Trying to do this to a swap truck that has 2006 wiring pedal tac and ecu in it. I understand what you did but I cant get the older file to load it comes up as $0517 File memory size and controller memory
size mismatch

An attempt was made to flash a 512K file into
a 1MB LS1B controller or a 1MB file into a
512K LS1B controller.

Please advice Thanks

What is the GM number on your computer? You should be able to tell when you open the file in tune. Also just to make sure, you are trying a complete overwrite right?
