Truck was tuned when I got it

I have a CPS5 EFI live tuned truck that I can't make any changes to.

I assume the answer is I need to buy a handheld EFI Live tuner to edit it and even still the tune might be locked but since I'm not 100%, I'm asking.

How can I tell if the tune is locked?

I have another brand tuning system and it won't read the ECU, presumably because the EFI Live is flashed.

EFILive writes to non-readable ECM memory for CSP tune files. EFILive, and other tools will be unable to read the tune file. You will however be able to flash over the file.
