I know this cable is an oldie, but here goes. I have a v1 that I used for my ls1 car, and my other car recently popped an engine light so I was trying to connect on the scan tool to see what's going on. This car is a 2015 sonic 1.4t which has the e78 as far as I can tell. I tried selecting the e78 in the controller box that pops up when you connect but the scan tool will only connect to the cable. Is the v1 just too old to talk to the sonic?
