03 Lb7 Duramax Allison 1000 electric 4x4 to manual 4x4??

I am converting my truck from electric push button 4x4 to manual shift 4x4. what do I need to change so when I'm in 4-lo my trans wont go to limp mode? or is there a way to wire in a series of switches so the PCM knows when I'm in 2wd 4hi N and 4lo?

truck is a 2003 lb7 with 5 spd Allison 1k

I guess I should say "what do i need to change in the PCM" or how to let the PCM know what range im in? I hardly ever use low range so I would be fine using the high range shift points (rpm based) the only thing is when I would be in low range the Vss is off by low ratio vs 1:1 in 2wd 4wdH and then the trans thinks its slipping and goes to limp mode. I could turn off slip limit but then if I really do slip it (in 2wd or Hi) i wouldnt know it before its really too late.
