Im already running a custom OS in my Z06, is there a way to switch to the OS#5 and keep my current tune or is it easier just to start over.

check out the last few pages of the custom OS5 thread. Tordne and others have some good info on setting it up

If you are running COS3 you can just flash your COS3 cal into OS5 no problem. You can then mess with the extra features at your leisure.

How do you do that? From my understanding OS5 currently only comes in 2 EFILIVE Custom O.S. 01290005 & 0202005 the only GM Stock O.S. that allow to be used with these Custom O.S's are 12225074 & 12212156 respectively.

I was running a GM Stock O.S. 12202088 on a Custom 01250003 but when I upgraded to 01290005 I couldn't load my 01250003 tune when the PCM was in dead poll. I just copied all my tables over a 2003 Maloo O.S. 12225074 then sent that to the PCM.

The 0129000x and 0125000x stream are not compatible - so you can't use your OS3 tune as a cal flash into OS5. Going to have to do the big old copy and paste I'm afraid...

I thought as much, reading Ringram's post it sounded like there might be a way. Thank god for multiple monitors. I know it's a once off, now I got a base tune I won't need to go thru and copy & paste all those tables again.

If you already had your OS3 tune in OS 01290003 and wanted to go to 01290005 it would go straight into V5. The problem is that the 2 stock OS's you're dealing with (12202088 & 12225074) are different. Basically the problem is the same as why we can't yet compare between different OS's. Apparently all our dreams will come true in V8 ;)

I am in the same boat (using OS3 #01250003). Can I still use the OS5 #1290005 if I copy and paste all the tables needed or do I need to wait on OS8?
Thanks.
