How do you get stock file?

How are people getting original stock files? Are they splitting case and using KTAG and doing a boot mode? Can I get mine this way. I need a file for a 2016 2500 Pickup. Can anyone help me with this or how do I go about it?

Do I need to get the numbers off of the ECM or can I get them with Witech or a scantool?

The numbers on the ECM is what the truck left the factory with.

Use V8, go to OBD and then do a read, that will show you what is currently on the ECM.
