v2 not seen by pc

my v2 flashscan stopped being seen by my laptop. when i run the usb test i get this error, Error: $0002: USB device not found.
i have tried another pc with same results. the ve itself powers on and all the buttons work just cant be read. help please im in the middle of tuning my truck.
