6.7 ecm in 5.9 body

Guy contacting me wanting to swap 09 6.7 engine and ecm into a 06 5.9 dodge body manual ( truck has no engine or 5.9 ecm):bawl: Now I haven’t broke out schematics yet, but curious if anyone has some input on issues/ tricks they have ran into trying to retain full functionality of the vehicle.

It would all come down to the additional modules in the truck. Hopefully in 06 there weren't many. I'd imagine you could maybe replace the modules with 09 ones if the 06 modules didn't work. Other unknown is would dash and accessories function. I'm sorry I cant be of more help but thats the path I'd go down to investigate. Honestly, what I would do is use the 6.7 longblock and just get a 06 ecm. First confirm 06 ecm would power 6.7 injectors correctly. I know for a fact a 6.7 ecm powers 5.9 injectors correctly because I have an 08 with 5.9 injectors.

I don't think it will work. Back in the day, Fleece made a conversion harness to put 5.9 ECM in the 2007.5-2009 trucks. It would cost affective to buy a used ECM.
