I was poking around in the calibration for my CT6, and I found table 'H0162 Vehicle Overspeed Torque Limiting', and what's there is rather concerning/absurd... If I understand the table correctly, if I'm traveling at 40MPH, the ECM will pull 103ft-lb of torque, if I'm traveling at 53MPH, it'll pull 221 ft-lb (Over HALF!!). The 3.0TT is supposed to deliver ~400 ft-lb from 2500 up to the limiter or so, and if it is functioning the way I am interpreting it, that could explain why when, getting onto a fast moving highway, if I roll heavy into the throttle to get up to speed, it builds boost, you feel the 'kick in the pants' and then *POOF*, the boost and 'kick' evaporates (Assuming I'm starting from say 35MPH, it goes from putting out probably 325 ft-lb or so, to a real short time later when I hit a whopping 53MPH only putting out 180 ft-lb!).
I'll have to do some logging to see if that seems to hold true, but based on the 'butt dyno', it seems to correlate to that table more or less.
Are there any experts here with more concrete knowledge?
