Long story but I've put a 5.3 into a land cruiser piece by piece. The ECM is a 2009 but most of the rest of my stuff is from a 2007. I also have a 2003 4l80e.. It's all wired up and ready to go but I need a base file to start somewhere. I think a 2009 express van with a 6.0 and a 4l80e? My 5.3 has a truck cam and different 36lb injectors... Help, I don't know where to start. I have a V2 and some credits ready to go...

Gen IV+ ECMs are very picky, you cannot take an 07 OS and put it in an 09 ECM, it will brick.

If you use the factory 09 Express Van OS plus E38 and matching T42 TCM calibration, you should be fine. You need to use a pedal and throttle body compatible with this ECM OS as well, otherwise you'll have a dead pedal.

You can take the 6L Express van OS and retune it for your 5.3, as long as the engine has the proper 58x/4x reluctor setup.

Thanks for the reply! The ECM is an 09 so I was hoping to find an 09 OS for the reasons you stated. My buddy found something but may entertain others.

Edit, I read too quickly (on my phone) you said throttle body- I'm not sure if mine will work. I know it has a brass blade...

ECM hardware + ECM OS + throttle body need to match. If they don't, it may or may not work, or issues could pop up randomly down the road.

I've got 09 Express Van ECM and TCM files, I can attach them if you need them. If you're looking for an actual "tuned" file, I'm not currently doing remote tuning but there are lots of good folks who can.

You also need a wideband O2 sensor wired up and connected to your V2.
