2011 Base file

Is there anyway to look up a base file with a VIN number?

I have a whole mess of base files I have accumulated over the years but I'm not sure which one to use.

What issues would arise if someone used the wrong basefile? like from a 2010 or 2012?

some functions may not work look on side of ecm for cm900xx.xx number that will help narrow down the right file
