$0101 data error

customer supplied pcm(e92), i get $0101 when trying to update vin. I looked up code and its not an issue with usb or pc. I only have issue with cars, trucks have no issues

Updated software and firmware, didn’t realize I was behind. Still getting error but says “vin change failed. $0331: request out of range ($31)
